WINEMAKER’S COMMENT
A greenish gold colour. A seductive combination of ripe citrus zest with fresh cream, nuttiness and a vein of smokiness from the oak. The palate is rich and seamless, finishing with a dazzling vibrancy of oak flavours and citrus.
VINIFICATION
Fruit was carefully harvested from our iconic Riflemans vineyard. The wine was fermented in tank on a selection of the finest French oak inserts. Gently fined before filtration to bottle.
VINTAGE SUMMARY
Vintage 2013 was the perfect summer, with warm, dry, sunny conditions throughout the season.
Our slightly elevated and cooler inland site high above the Tutaekuri River, has meant that elegance and good acidity has been retained, allowing us to express the unique citrus blossom
qualities of this iconic vineyard. A truly exceptional year.
